Typical Australian weather - from bush fires to flooding our drivers finally got a break in the weather and ran our first race of 2020, and what a great day it was!

The IRC club did a fantastic job as usual prepping the track and running the races, especially considering the recent weather they have had.
Due to the recent rain and lack of racing the track developed a lot of “character”, however, even with the tough track conditions, the VP Pro team was able to secure TQ for both 1/8 EP Buggy and 1/8 Nitro Buggy.

In EP Buggy, SOAR Speedbull driver Peter Coombs dominated the field all day taking TQ and winning all 3 x 7min finals comfortably with his SOAR TD1R.2E buggy on VP Pro rubber.

In Nitro Buggy, VP Pro drivers secured all top places. Young gun SOAR Speedbull driver Mitchell Scott managed to secure TQ during qualifying, finishing in 2nd position with his SOAR TD1R.2. Kev Lewis brought home the win with a dominant performance in the finals and SOAR Speedbull Team Manager Theo Assa rounded out the podium in 3rd position.
Special shout out to VP Pro and SOAR Speedbull team driver Ryan Holbrow who finished in 5th - VP Pro making up 4 of the top 5 positions.
All nitro drivers opting to run with the VP Pro Axeman Evo tyre in the mains.

Check out the tyre wear in the pictures below after almost two hours run time.... Amazing!
